A Russian film crew arrives in Varanasi to shoot an art house movie. The atmosphere of the ancient city encourages reflection on the meaning of what is happening, on the essence of cinema, on values that are usually considered obvious and not discussed. Soon the filming process begins to fall apart, the performer of the main role meets a girl on the street and decides to go with her to another part of India instead of continuing filming.
