The non-competitive program highlights some of the most compelling and timely films from around the globe. World Panorama showcases works that have already garnered acclaim and do not compete for awards, as their impact and success speak for themselves.

This program features films of exceptional artistic merit and profound depth, inviting viewers on a cinematic journey through unique narratives that explore the most pressing issues of our time.

This year, audiences in Kazakhstan will experience stories that delve into complex human destinies, urgent social challenges, and thought-provoking philosophical themes.

1. Vermiglio (Italy, France, Belgium, 2024), a profound drama of love and tragedy set against the backdrop of World War II. The film delves into the lives of individuals navigating the harsh realities of war, revealing how global events shape personal destinies.

2. Sultana's Dream (Spain, Germany, 2023), a fantastical and socially significant film based on a 1905 work that envisions a utopian society where women rule the world and men live in isolation. This thought-provoking story offers fresh perspectives on gender stereotypes and social justice.

3. Hayao Miyazaki and the Heron (Japan, 2024), a documentary exploring the creative journey of legendary Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki, known for the iconic film The Boy and the Heron. This film provides a rare glimpse behind the scenes of Studio Ghibli and reveals the human side of the master filmmaker.

The festival is founded and traditionally organized by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the Kazakhfilm Studio named after Shaken Aimanov entrusted with the direct organization of the event.
